Men of Big Aloha at NWTA 

March 3 - 6  Camp Colby, Palmdale  

I am going to be Food King for this NWTA. 

I need to get 11 -13 men to recreate my Men of Big Aloha (MoBA) program.

Check out this blog. MoBA is designed to turn the MOS Process into a spiritual program for growth (see links and info below).    MoBA has a curriculum: of circles, processes, games and learning - MoBA is a "golden" experience for the Brothers who volunteer for it.

MoBA is meant to examine and teach around:

1. Brothers working together - and the shadow and gold in work, hierarchy, service and giving
2. Aloha and the deeper goal - Ho'okipa
3. Wholistic - serving the entire man and container, its not just a cafeteria line
4. Holding the container from the outside
5. Teaching men actual food and event production - and building skill sets and resources for MKP's future
6. Developing better defined job positions
7. Better cost control (thru better shopping!)
8. Continuous improvement model
9. MBA is passed to the next MBA crew leaders

A Warriors Menu and Guide to Affluenza

American the Obese: Big Mac's, Bac-o's, Captain Crunch and Diet Cola. This is not a Warriors Food!

I propose the opposite: Warrior Monk Cuisine, an even lighter, easier lower cost Spiritual-focused path than that advocated by Doug Grue at the Sept. NWTA.

A less-expensive cuisine means more money for MKP, maybe even a lower price NWTA or an extra man in.

• MoBA Model - MoS men support the container with healthy food, massage, nutraceuticals and also sit Circle, have games and processes (Steve Matthews)
• MoS Path - an MoS track that is on a par with a "Path" like LKS, with Conscious alchemy/cooking for Conscious transformation (Shane Keller)
• Organic Aruvedic/Asian - serve an organic pre-programmed menu (Doug Grue)
• Monk Food - simple, healthy, low-cost food that saves money and takes focus from "affluenza" and toward consciousness (Steve Matthews)

PROCESS for Achieving an MoS path

1. Get a community wide email send out asking for men willing to commit to co-creating an MOS track.
2. Have a monthly conference call of MOS council members (and a Ning group for on going discussion).
3. Get an elected man on the Board of Directors to liaise with them and receive guidance.
4. Most important, have alot of passionate FUN!

MoBA comes to NorCal

MoBA will be implemented in a "short form" at Camp Krem by Steve Matthews - October 7th thru 10th .
The issue is that only 2 other men have signed up. So it may be a very short form but at least the idea is being moved forward and those two men will be familiar with the idea for next iteration.

What are "Men of Big Aloha"

MoBA -- the Hawaii Men of Big Aloha Process -

The MoBA concept is that MoS is really about aloha - giving generously in spirit, welcoming with food and care, healing and supporting without judgement. And MoBA has some big differences from Mainland MoS. MoBA is a learning, teaching, growing experience - not just cooking and dishes. MoBA is about cooking and looking.

1. MoBA is for a big crew - split into two Circles - 11 or 13 men
   
2. There is a Shaman role
   
3. CIRCLES: MoBA men sit a series of Circles around the topics of Men at Work and Men at Sevice
   
4. The entire MoBA weekend is a process - including an ongoing game.
   
5. MoBA also supports the Staff with healing touch, spiritual support, laughter and healing herbs
6. MoBA also supports Local organic health oriented options
7. Education: MoBA teaches men management, cooking and sanitation
